Get to know Tom

Born and raised in Minnesota, I have lived most of my life in District 37A - primarily in Medina, where my parents still live today, and in Corcoran, where my wife, Erin, and I are raising our son, Logan, and our two dogs, Ella (a French Bulldog) and Rory (a Golden Retriever).  

I am a proud alumnus of both Wayzata Public Schools and Plymouth's Providence Academy. I attended college at Wake Forest University and obtained my JD (law degree) from the University of Wisconsin. At Wisconsin, I was an editor for On The Rise, a member of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society and served as President of UW's Federalist Society chapter. 

Today I am serving in my 3rd term as mayor of Corcoran. Additionally, I serve as President of the Corcoran Economic Development Authority, have served two years as President of the Northwest Hennepin League of Municipalities and am the District 1 representative for the Met Council's Land Use Advisory Committee (LUAC). Professionally, I am the Director of Safety and Project Manager for a family-owned medical construction firm headquartered in Plymouth.

I am incredibly honored to be the Republican endorsed candidate for State Representative for SD37A and I'm excited for the opportunity to serve the residents of Corcoran, Greenfield, Independence, Loretto, Maple Grove, Maple Plain and Medina at the Capital next year!  

I hope my record of proven local leadership, successful business experience and common-sense, conservative values will help earn your support in the coming months, and I am eager to get out across the district and introduce myself in person!  If you see me around, please say hello!
