Families and small businesses are feeling squeezed by rising property taxes, cost of living expenses, and a state government that has wasted billions under DFL leadership.

Tom will work to:

• Lower the tax burden on families, seniors and businesses
• Fight & prevent fraud, stop wasteful spending, and protect taxpayer dollars
• Eliminate unnecessary regulatory burdens 
• Ensure responsible budgeting at the state level

As mayor, Tom has prioritized responsible growth and long-term planning to protect taxpayers while providing the services residents need and expect from their city. 

Safe neighborhoods are the foundation of thriving communities.

Tom supports: 

• Backing law enforcement and first responders
• Holding criminals accountable - especially repeat and violent offenders
• Prevention and community partnerships to keep neighborhoods safe

Tom has worked closely with public safety partners to ensure community safety.  Under his leadership, Corcoran has led the way as one of the safest cities in Minnesota every year (SafeWise).  He's supported officers, negotiated multiple successful Collective Bargaining Agreements, and helped create one of the most successful and innovative recruitment and retention programs in the state at a time when it is needed most.  

Minnesotans deserve transparency, accountability and responsible stewardship of public funds.  

Tom will:

• Strengthen oversight and prevent fraud, waste and abuse 
• Demand transparency in state spending
• Protect taxpayer dollars through responsible budgeting
• Push back against unfunded mandates and unnecessary red tape

Strong communities are built through smart planning, quality schools and local decision-making.  Not one size fits all mandates from the Met Council, state agencies or the legislature.
